Examples of fences we have constructed on various sites for a mixture or purposes.
Constructing a sheeting area for wagons at Leyburn quarry.
A sheeting down area for the protection of personnel when sheeting down the wagons at the quarry was required. The fence was constructed to baffle strong winds and make a safe area for sheeting operations. The fence had to be higher than the wagons and have enough height to deflect the wind upwards. The fence was double boarded with gaps to allow the wind through but boards were placed so as to baffle the wind whilst maintaining protection for the staff.

The initial stages of construction:
The upright posts had to be deep into the ground to maintain stability.

The finished fence - a safe sheeting down area providing protection from strong winds.
